Mudskipper fish

There are several species of mudskipper fish in Malaysia, and they are another very common sight in mangrove swamps. The smallest kind, Periophthalmus gracilis, can be found far upriver from the mangroves, is only 5-7 cm in length. They used to be common as far upriver as Klang town. The largest, Periophthalmodon schlosseri, is restricted to the coast, and can be almost a foot long.
